Photography courses in Sydney

We offer group photography courses and workshops in the Sydney metropolitan area. These are very effective as an introduction to digital photography. If you would like a more "personalized" approach, we also have individual private photography lessons to cover a wide variety of topics: Anything from advanced photo composition to post production with Photoshop and Portrait Professional. The student gets more out of the training (compared to group classes) and we get to know our clients better. A true Win-Win. If you are considering a group or private course in photography, please check us out at:

Specialized courses include wedding photography courses, video courses and professional photography courses, were you get hands on experience on site and in the field with one of our photographers.

Here are a few tips. You will learn hundreds more when you go out in the field with us:

1 In portrait photography, putwomen to the left of the frame and men to the right.  We don't know why this works, but it does.

2 When all else fails, putyour DSLR in 'Auto' mode. You can work out your mistake later ' first priorityis to take a good shot.

3 Put your camera oncontinuous duting important events (eg when bride and groom kiss during awedding). It's the best way not to miss an important shot.

4. If lighting is too dim for your camera to auto-focus, put it on manual focusand use live-view with 10x enlargement to get accurate focus.

5. In landscape photography, use the rule of thirds: Twothirds sky one third ground. Try it in reverse and try other ratios.

6. Carry at least one spare memory card with you. Better safe than miss thatimportant shot. Simple, commonsense tip, but few people do it'

7.Even though photography shops will try to sell you one, Digital cameras (in most caese) do not require an ultra violet filter. Unlike film cameras, digital cameras are not as susceptible to ultra violet radiation.

We also have gift certificates if you think somebody you know could benefit from our courses. You can find details on our website.

Of course we don't just teach photography, we are also experienced practitioners of the craft. Please have a look at our portrait photography services, wedding photography, wedding video and general photographic services in the Sydney area.
